English Translation

 

Pallavi

Oh Rama, Oh sweet heart of Janaki, Oh son of Dasaratha,

Oh Hari who is the God for every one.

 

Anupallavi

He who loves lowly people.

He who is the sea of mercy,

He who is habituated to give blessings and charity,

He who holds Kodanda bow.

Charanam

He who protected Yaga of Viswamithra,

He who gave back real form to Ahalya, wife of sage Gauthama,

He who broke the bow of Lord Shiva,

And he who married the daughter of Mithila.
