Charanam

 

1.Haranai , mamathanai , shankaranai , maan mazhu  yendum karanai,

Chadayir Gangadaranai,

Paranai , sar va daya paranai para digambaranai, thillai vaazh chidambaranai, Shankaranai

 

2.Payanai anda upayanai , malai magal neyanai , azhivilla kayanai,

Thuavanai, Vaibhoga rayanai , naal Veda vayanai, thandava rayanai, shivayanai

 

3.Ishanai  parakeshanai adhika prakasanai , Kailsa vasanai,

Pujajani cheyyum  anbar nesanai Thripuram thannil Shiva kami nesanai, SAbesanai.

 

 

English Translation

 

Pallavi

 

As soon as you see him , you can get salvation,

As  soon as you see the God of the city of tiger , you can get salvation.

 

Anupallavi

 

As son you see him you can get salvation,

The God of city of tiger , the God of Chidambara,

 

Charanam

 

1.The God who destroys, The god who is pretty , The Shankara , The one who holds deer and axe in his hands,

The God who carries Ganga in his matted hair , The divine one, The one who is merciful to all,

The God who dresses himself using directions, The chidamabaran who lives in Thillai and Shankara.

 

2.The God who gave half his body, that God who gave, the God who is friend of daughter of mountain,

The God who has non destructible body, The God who is pure, the God  who indulges in festivals,

The God who speaks four Vedas, The God who dances, The God Shiva.

 

3The God , The one who has divine hair , The God who shines greatly , The God who lives in Kailasa,

The God who is friend of those who worship him , The God who is friend of Parvathi in Tripura, The God who presides over the stage.
