Mangala charane mamava satatam

Mamadurai vaaz Meenakshiyamma

 

Anupallavi

 

Sanga rahithe , un tal statam pothinen,

Sama gana vinodhini , Manini.

 

Charanam

 

Undan sannidhi vandhen  ullam urugi thozha,

Vandu irayai kanden , vanam veditha pola,

Minnal vegam adhil marugida cheythaye,

Mahimai solla tharama varada dasan pothum

 

English Translation

 

Pallavi

 

Oh Goddess Meenakshi who lives in Madurai,

Please give your auspicious feet to me always.

 

Anupallavi

 

Goddess who does not have any company,

I always praised  your feet,

Oh Goddess who enjoys Sama Gana and is proud.

 

Charanam

 

I came before you to pray with a melted heart,

Then I heard the great sound resembling the bursting of the sky,

And you made the speed of lightning merge  in that,

Can your greatness be aptly described.
oh Goddess who  is praised by Varada dasa.
