Sharavana bhava enum tirumandiram tannai 
sada japi yen naavE 

 Anupallavi

Puram  yeritha paraman netrikannil uditha
Boda swaroopan porpaadum tannai panindu

Maanmisai  kidaundhu uzhal   piravi piniyai  theerkkum,

Mayai agala  per inba  neriyil cherkkum,

Than mathi  nigar kuzhal  karunai nilavu ,

Mizhum  shanmuga Priya  sadakshara   paavana.

 

English meaning

 

Pallavi

Always chant    the divine  Manthra,

“Saravana Bhabva” , Oh my mind

 

Anupallavi

After   saluting the golden feet  of  the God   with  a form of conscience,

Born from the forehead eye  of the divine one  who burnt the three cities,

 

Charanam

That which   drives away   that illusion  that,

Puts   an end to the  disease of birth   ,

Which makes   us to be born in earth   and suffer,

And makes    us merge    with  the  divine joy ,

That   mercy which is like    the  light  of the cool moon,

That Shanumuga  who likes  the holy six lettered manthra.
